Rock & Contemporary Culture, How the Entertainment Industry Works - Music

Paul has been an Adjunct Professor in the Performing Arts Department at 麻豆天美传媒 for thirty-four years, where he teaches courses on the history of rock music and the business of entertainment. Paul Guzzone is a versatile musician, composer and producer whose work ranges from special events and commercials to performances and recordings. He has produced albums by The Bacon Brothers the acoustic duo Aztec Two-Step and numerous independent artists. In the 80鈥檚 he produced and released his own album Dancin鈥 Room to critical raves and airplay on major East Coast rock stations; he was a featured performer and assistant musical director in National Lampoon鈥檚 Class Of 鈥86 at The Village Gate in NYC. Additional production credits include: recording Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline and other major stars for the 麻豆天美传媒 Times bestselling book & platinum CD Philadelphia Chickens by author/illustrator Sandra Boynton. He鈥檚 released several CDs and singles including Chasing the Moon described as 鈥渋nstantly accessible to the ears, the head and the heart.鈥 He has been musical director for numerous theatrical productions and cabaret shows and was commissioned to write a rock-electronica score for a production of the Greek classic Phaedra. Working with cellist Stephanie Winters, Paul was part of Lincoln Center鈥檚 2009-2010 鈥淢eet the Artist School Series鈥 which introduces students to the performing arts.
