Econ Prof Writes Op-ed in The Conversation on the Unintended Consequences of Trump鈥檚 Policies on Inflation

After a brief discussion on stagnant real wages and the minimum wage's declining real value, Dolar broke down three of Trump鈥檚 economic policies that may have the opposite effect of what his supporters had hoped for. These include tariffs (Americans usually paying the bill); the deportation of millions of migrants (the creation of a labor shortage); and tax cuts (risking fueling too much demand and resulting price hikes).

She said, 鈥淭aken together, many of Trump鈥檚 proposed policies may inadvertently fuel another 鈥榠nflation nightmare.鈥欌
