�鶹������ý’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems partnered with leading global investment firms and to host the University’s inaugural fintech conference, Pace of Fintech: Accelerating Innovation Conference.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý honored Bridget G. Brennan, �鶹������ý City’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor, with its 2024 Robert S. Tucker Prize for Prosecutorial Excellence at a ceremony attended by district attorneys, fellow prosecutors and other members of the legal community on �鶹������ý’s �鶹������ý City campus September 23, 2024.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý is proud to announce that the 2024 Ottinger Award for Faculty Achievement has been awarded to Professor Vanessa Merton posthumously.

On September 12, 2024, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý Environmental Law Program held the second annual private environmental governance, sustainability, and ESG legal scholarship workshop. The half-day lightning workshop included an impressive gathering of environmentally focused scholars who spent the day workshopping new scholarship. This year’s workshop was developed by Haub Law Professor Josh Galperin, who also moderated the event.

For the third consecutive year, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý partnered with the Westchester County Association to host its Annual ‘Profit and Purpose’ Sustainable Business Conference at the Law School. The conference, held on Friday, September 13, brought together well over 100 business, nonprofit, and government leaders to discuss how businesses are innovating around climate change and social responsibility and inspire organizations to apply these principals to advance ESG in their practices.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý had the honor of hosting Professor Amanda Kennedy for a series of lectures and presentations. Professor Kennedy is a Professor of Law at Queensland University of Technology in Australia and Deputy Head of School at the School of Law. Professor Kennedy’s research interests fall predominantly within the area of agri-environmental law, and include natural resources and land use law, environmental justice and energy governance.

�鶹������ý Art Gallery is pleased to present Being Transducer, the first solo exhibition in �鶹������ý by the Taiwanese art collective , Chiaochi Chou and Youyang Hu. This exhibit builds on the duo’s ongoing exploration of a "bio-Internet of Things," expanding upon philosopher Timothy Morton's object-oriented ecological perspective.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý had the honor of hosting Professor Maciej Nyka, Chair of the Department of Economic Law and Environmental Protection at the University of Gdańsk in Poland.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý is proud to announce that Professor Alexander K.A. Greenawalt was awarded the 2024 Goettel Prize for Faculty Scholarship for his article, “With Intent to Destroy in Whole or in Part: Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing, and a Lost History,” which was published by Wisconsin Law Review earlier this year (2024 Wis. L. Rev. 933 (2024)).

On September 7, 2024, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹������ý hosted the inaugural Early Environmental Law Scholars (EELS) Conference. The goal of the Early Environmental Law Scholars is to foster community building, idea exchange, and professional development for emerging scholars in the field.
