Deborah Hope Wayne has served as an Adjunct Professor of Collaborative Law at Elisabeth Haub School of Law since 2008. She a collaborative attorney and mediator with offices in Purchase, NY, and Â鶹ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City. Professor Wayne is on the Board of Directors of The Â鶹ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ State Council for Divorce Mediation. She is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Â鶹ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Association of Collaborative Professionals and a founding member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators. She co-developed one of the first law school programs in the United States on Collaborative Law.

Professor Wayne is a trained mediator and works as a non-coercive neutral to help clients resolve disputes and negotiate agreements as an alternative to litigation. She participated in the 2005 and 2006 Harvard Negotiation Insight Initiative in Cambridge, Mass., and frequently serves as a facilitator for the Center for Understanding in Conflict in Â鶹ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City. Her training in conflict resolution includes the following areas: special education; parent-teen; victim-offender (restorative justice); and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender advocacy.

Professor Wayne has lectured on collaborative law and conflict resolution at various institutions in addition to Haub Law, including St. John’s University, Fordham University School of Law, and the Institute for Senior Action.
